Cincinnati Urban Promise Addition and Renovation
Cincinnati Urban Promise, Inc. is a non-profit education-based organization. CUP seeks to create holistic change in the lives of youth and their families by meeting their physical, emotional, academic and spiritual needs through a Christ-centered approach to education, empowerment, and loving relationships.
Through a City of Cincinnati Catalytic Capital Investment Program (NCCIP) grant administered by WestCURC, A359 collaborated with CUP leadership to develop a comprehensive design; expanding the organization’s services with a thoughtful renovation of existing classroom space. The project provides eight additional classrooms and a new gymnasium in a 10,000 SF addition that transforms the existing façade, enhancing Westwood’s Harrison Avenue corridor.
iSPACE Renovation and Addition
Following a successful 2022 renovation of a former UAW hall into classroom and flex space for iSPACE’s first stand-alone education venue, the popularity of iSPACE’s immersive summer camps and school field trips spiked demand for additional STEM classroom and lab space.
iSPACE administrators returned to A359 to develop conceptual drawings and renderings to add 12,000 SF of teaching space concurrently transforming the existing façade into a vibrant welcome for visitors of all ages. This transformative renovation also provides outdoor classroom space and links the project to nearby Gorman Heritage Farm’s new Ohio EPA-funded wetland and stream restoration project through coordinated walking paths.
STEM—science, technology, engineering, and math – are at the heart of today’s most in-demand careers. From coding and chemistry to rocketry and robotics, immersive field trips and summer camps, iSPACE is dedicated to providing specialized learning opportunities for the greater Cincinnati region while also supporting educators through high-quality professional development programs that strengthen STEM instruction in the classroom.
